The 39th Annual Franciscan Sports Banquet was a wonderful success thanks to so many. Our gratitude to our honorees Joe Castiglione, Andrea Hurley, Alan Lazowski, Billy Mecca and Audrey Lefkowitz, M.D., for saying yes to their invitation to be awardee recipients. In addition to the honorees, we thank George Grande, Dan Hurley, Jim Calhoun, Dan Gooley and Mother Shaun Vergauwen, FSE, for introducing them. Joe D’Ambrosio and Rich Coppola did a great job emceeing.
The Franciscan Sports Banquet Committee works all year to make this three-hour event a success. We are grateful to them for their commitment. In addition, thank you to our sponsors. Your generosity is helping those in need of counseling, education, home care, and hospice care.
The Silent Auction and the Raffle offered a variety of sports memorabilia, jewelry, Franciscan breads, fresh floral planters, lottery tree, gift certificates and so much more, all donated by individuals and families who generously support the work of the Franciscan Life Center and Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care.
Often not mentioned, but remembered, are the volunteers and their families who give of their time and energy to help with the success of the evening. This event would not happen without their dedication and commitment.
The Franciscan Sisters are deeply grateful to all who make this event successful and meaningful.
