The dedicated staff of nurses and social workers, physical, speech and occupational therapists, and home health aides specializes in the needs of persons who are elderly, handicapped, chronically ill or terminally ill who would benefit from care in their homes.
Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care staff is dedicated to the care of the elderly and others needing in-home services. Each staff member is professionally prepared to meet the challenges of providing quality care. Likewise, each staff member receives training in the Franciscan approach to care which emphasizes sensitivity to individual needs and awareness of the inherent dignity of each client, with special concern for those in the final phases of the aging process.

Pope Leo XIV says in his message for the World Day of the Sick, “In my experience as a missionary and Bishop in Peru, I have personally witnessed many who show mercy and compassion in the spirit of the Samaritan and the innkeeper, seen in family members, neighbors, healthcare workers, those engaged in pastoral care for the sick, and many others who stop along the way to draw near, heal, support, and accompany those in need. By offering what they have, they give compassion a social dimension, and this experience, occurring within a network of relationships, transcends mere individual commitment.”

Caring Professionals
Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist work side-by-side with dedicated lay professionals to serve the needs of our clients who benefit from our team approach and commitment to being caring health care providers.
Franciscan Hospice Care’s Interdisciplinary Team meets weekly to ensure that each hospice patient receives excellent care. The team includes the medical director, hospice director, administrator, hospice nurses, social work coordinators and hospice volunteer coordinator.
Likewise, Franciscan Home Care professionals work together under the clinical director to coordinate nursing care, prescribed therapies and social worker visits for patients.
