A Hospice Care Volunteer is a rewarding opportunity to journey with someone in the latter portion of his/her life. Franciscan Hospice Care Volunteers provide a variety of services such as visiting patients, reading, sharing stories, praying or being a quiet presence for the patient.
This year’s volunteer training program will begin in October. Contact BJ Raby, Volunteer Coordinator, 203-238-1441 for more information about joining the team of hospice care volunteers.
Hospice care volunteers receive 15 hours of training. There is continuing education and support through monthly meetings as well as social events.
